RDRS Bangladesh in partnership with Save the Children and funded by USAID is going to implement READ (Reading Enhancement for Advancing Development) project in Mohadevpur, Porsha, Sapahar & Dhamurhat Upazila of Naogaon districts. Interested candidates are requested to apply for the above position:
Job Location: Dhamurhat, Mahadevpur, Porsha & Sapahar Upazilla at Naogaon district
Upazila Coordinator (READ) will carry out the following responsibility under the direct responsibility of Project Coordinator (READ).
Overall responsibility for the successful implementation of the project's activities in the project working area;
Achievement of the project's outputs as measured by the log frame indicators;
Responsible for the management of project inputs including staff, financial resources and equipment;
Coordination with government, donors, NGOs and other related departments;
Capacity building of communities and project staff to achieve the project outputs;
Coordination of project activities with those of other donors, NGOs and government and related fields;
Prepare quarter/annual financial and narrative reports;
Budget preparation, Procurement plan, Audit face;
Coordination of project activities with local government counterparts.
Masters in any discipline (advanced degree in Education e.g. B.Ed/ M.Ed would be preferred).
At least 6 years
Age At most 45 years
Candidates have at least 6 years experience in the Education sector of which 3 years in managerial level.
Should have knowledge in overall program designing, implementation including staff management and development, financial management, budget preparation, donor reporting, preparing training modules, designing and conducting training, workshop/seminars and experience in monitoring and reporting.
Have to Sound knowledge on reading competencies in primary Education.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Bangla language;
Proven analytical abilities, good documentation skills;
Proven leadership quality;
Knowledge primary education and reading competencies is an asset
Experience in managing USAID funded projects, procurement, reporting, finance, visibility; external audits will be an added advantage.

Established in 1972 to assist with relief and rehabilitation of greater Rangpur-Dinajpur region immediately following the War of Independence of Bangladesh in 1971, the RDRS program evolved into a sectoral then comprehensive effort.
