Job Description

Coordinate value chain business development work in jute textile, lathe and light engineering sector;
Play key role in value chain analysis and improvement work includes - business enabling environment, business development services;
Support to jute buyers and product retailers;
Design activities that increase smallholder jute production and market linkages;
Collaboration between small, medium & large jute product manufacturers factories, enterprises and chamber of commerce, business associations and jute mills, lathe machine workshop and metal workshop;
Coordinate and collaborate with private enterprises, NGOs, and CBOs;
Export logistics support on agricultural development, TTC, Chamber of Commerce, lathe machine Shromic union;
Coordinate the team at District Level and support in 4 project working districts;
Writing reports and capturing key lesson learnt.

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:
MBA (major in Marketing)/ Masters in Agri Business/ Agricultural Economics;

Experience Requirements:
At least 7 years

Job Requirements:
At least 7 years working experience in market development & export linkage;
Experience in conducting value chain assessments and support in business development;
Good communication and computer skill;
Willingness to field visit frequently by motorcycle in 4 project districts;
Gender sensitive with sound knowledge and experience on gender issues;
Age maximum 40 years (may be relaxed for deserving candidates).
