Job Description

  • Fiber Analysis, Yarn analysis, swatch analysis, fabrics design analysis, & strength analysis
  • Root cause of fabrics fault analysis & their remedy procedure
  • Ensure fabric quality, Dyed fabric's shade checking by visually & spectrophotometer.
  • SOP/Process sheet preparing, implementing to the floor according to fabrics quality.
  • Various types of physical & chemical test of raw & finished fabrics according to buyer's test std. such as Dimensional stability, Thermal stability, varieties types of color fastness, Phenolic yellowing, Tear, Tensile, Seam slippage, Pilling, Snagging, Abrasion, Water repellency, Rain test, Water & Oil staining, Stretch ability, Growth recovery, PH, residual acid & alkali in fabric etc
  • Drive the research and development of seasonal fabric assortments that align with the overall aesthetic and costing parameters of each private brand.
  • Build and maintain fabric library with costing and history of development by brand.
  • Develop, prepare and maintain fabric information specification detail sheets for team which include brand, fabric specifications, suppliers and opening cost per yard.
  • Present seasonally a fabric trend forecast and recommend fabrications by brand.
  • Recommend fabric mills based on new/innovative fabrics and costing objectives.
  • Negotiate, source and counter source fabrics based on pricing, content, timing and brand.
  • Develop and manage fabric development tracking sheets from concept to adoption.
  • Partner with Design and Sourcing to plan, organize and develop new fabrications in conjunction with time and action calendar.
  • For each new product delivery, recommend and determine fabric ranges that exceed our seasonal merchandising plans and objectives.
  • Leverage fabrics when possible for best costing and delivery.
  • Create and build an open cross functional line of communication with all product development stakeholders.
  • Analyze selling history in order to maximize sales, Initial margin up and Gross margin.
  • Arbitrate and resolve any matters of concern with design, sourcing, technical and buying teams regarding fabrics and fabric execution.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

    B.S.C in Textile from any reputed university.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following areas:Production Management (Knitting & Weaving), Textile Engineering
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business areas:Textile

Job Requirements:

  • Age 28 to 34 years
  • Should have minimum 2 years experience on relative position in relevant field.
  • Clear understanding of the yarn manufacturing technology & wet processing.
  • Solid fabric construction knowledge base and strong aptitude and understanding of dyeing printing and finishing techniques.
  • Technical knowledge of fabric trims and garment construction.
  • Must pass in house color test
  • Ability to take charge, with a hands-on management style-but also with a willingness to listen, learns and teaches.
  • The ability to thrive in a team oriented environment.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
