Job Description

  • Has clear understandings about the components of the program
  • Be informative with the data that are important for reporting and programmatic discussions
  • Makes monthly plan involving the TOs and considering the DIP
  • Delegates the tasks and follows up regularly to have the expected results
  • Has control over staff, their movements, performances and can provide guidance as appropriate
  • Visits project sites as demanded by project staff
  • Coordinates with TOs, MIS/M&E staff, other UCs, PC, WI's Grants Coordinator and UZ-based staff on a regular basis
  • Drive motorcycle himself/does not ride always behind somebody
  • Actively participates in meetings, workshops, strategic discussions and trainings rather than being a passive participant
  • Puts signatures on financial documents after properly checking the contents
  • Checks the vouchers against all kinds of expenditures on a regular basis
  • Takes the findings/observations of the WI staff members into account and solve them in timely manner rather than being unresponsive and uncaring
  • Writes report by himself with support from TOs, M&E/MIS staff and PC.
  • Upazila Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating agriculture, livelihoods & entrepreneurial program operations and providing support to activities that are conducted at Upazila level.
  • Upazila Cordinator will also play a lead role in managing communications and developing productive relationships among Nobo Jatra consortium members, local government officials, private sectors, communities and beneficiaries.
  • Support day-to-day coordination among Union level activities in the Upazila.
  • Facilitate liaison and overall communication and coordination among central based Nobo Jatra technical specialists providing support to the major components of the project.
  • Provide technical leadership for work planning and setting of project targets, in an integrated and coherent manner.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation and reporting of progress in project implementation and achievement of targeted results.
  • Ensure quality control and timely submission of all deliverables for upazila- level project activities.
  • Coordinate and supervise communication activities in the field level.
  • Attend and conduct different meeting, training and workshop with staffs and stake holders.
  • Assist Project Coordinator to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual plan.
  • Assist team members to prepare work plan, organize the program activities and documentation and reporting.

Job Nature

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

    Bachelor/ Master's in Agriculture/ Fisheries/ Animal Husbandry/ DVM/ MBA or in any relevant discipline.

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 10 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business areas:NGO

Job Requirements:

  • Age 30 to 45 years
  • At least 10 years' experience on development sector and minimum 05 years working with agriculture, livelihoods and entrepreneurial literacy components under USAID funded projects as coordinator level
  • Strong inter-personal communication skill
  • Strong report writing skill
  • Strong knowledge on rapport building with partners and beneficiaries
  • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Bangla
