Job Description

  • Oversee implementation of UDP interventions at the district/ city level keeping alignment with the UDP objectives
  • Maintain liaison with Mayor, Councilor's and city/ municipality authority for ensuring coordinated service delivery
  • Maintain strong communication and networking with municipality and city corporations, and elected local representatives to ensure their engagement in social accountability initiatives
  • Follow up field level implementation in each cities and town under UDP coverage
  • Monitor progress of the project and ensure smooth field delivery of the activities.
  • Organise training, workshops and different events at the field level according to annual targets
  • Support to the technical department of UDP for effective urban interventions
  • Organise and manage regular team meetings with field staff, informal catch up meetings and external meetings as necessary and to ensure meeting notes and action points are distributed to deadline
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of programme and Community Organiser's (in urban development context)
  • Identify, plan and organise capacity development training/ workshop

Position Requirements

Educational Requirements:

    Masters in any discipline from any recognised university with all second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA is acceptable

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 4 years

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience with NGOs or international development organisations, including 1 year experience in the urban poverty reduction/ livelihoods/ planning and governance project or programme
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects
  • Have knowledge on current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development
  • Have skills on community organising and social mobilisation
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Skills in documentation, facilitation & reporting
  • Strong analytical skills and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts
  • Awareness of political processes and protocols

About the Company
